Servers

The instance page

Everything you can do to one server, and where each control lives.

2 min read Reviewed 24 Aug 2026

Instances in the sidebar lists every server on the account. Opening one gets you its own page at /client/services/<id>/, and every control below lives there.

Tabs

Tab What it does
Overview Status, credentials, specs. Power and console sit on the same line as the server name
Usage Graphs Live CPU, memory and disk use; historical CPU, memory, network and disk I/O charts
Settings Label, hostname and client notes
Network Public and private interfaces, IP and MAC addresses, and VNet attachments

Power, console, firewall, resize, reinstall, and destroy sit next to the server name as labelled header actions, so they stay one click away on every tab.

What you can do

Statuses

Status Meaning
pending Order accepted, nothing built yet
provisioning Being built. No address yet
running Booted and reachable
stopped Powered off. Still billing
suspended Powered off for billing. Settle the balance
deleting Teardown in progress. Billing has stopped
destroyed Gone
failed Provisioning did not complete

If it says failed

A failed deployment can be retried from the server's page with Recreate. Nothing was billed for a server that never came up. If a retry fails too, open a ticket with the instance id.

Root password

The generated root password is readable on this page by the account owner, and is stored encrypted. The provisioning email is the only time it is sent to you. Anyone signed in as the owner can read it here, which is one more reason to put your own SSH key on the server and stop relying on it.
