A template is a ready-made application, such as Nextcloud, Jellyfin, code-server, WikiJS or BookStack. It carries its own recipe, so you fill in a few settings and the platform does the rest. Templates keep their data between deploys, like a Docker image application.
Launch one
- In New application, choose Template (under Start from something ready), or open the Templates catalog.
- Pick the template you want.
- Set its Name and Identifier, the same as any application.
- Choose its Memory, vCPUs and Disk. Disk can grow later but not shrink.
- Fill in whatever the template asks for: some need a value such as a domain or an admin email, and some generate their own secrets for you.
- Deploy it.
Some templates have their own terms
A template that bundles licensed software may ask you to accept its terms or choose a version before it will deploy. Those fields appear on the template's form.
After it is running
A template is a normal application once it is up: it has the same Logs, Console, Variables and Settings tabs, and the same private networking. To reach it from the internet, put a Cloud Firewall in front of it.
